Mares Abyss 22 Navy II Regulator
The Mares Abyss 22 Navy II scuba diving regulator is specifically engineered to endure the toughest diving conditions encountered by US Navy forces worldwide. It includes a special cold water dive kit, making it ideal for extreme environments. The second stage is coated with a fluoropolymer resin finish for enhanced durability and features Mares’ exclusive VAD system for smooth, natural breathing.
The Abyss 22 Navy II delivers exceptional performance, even in icy waters, ensuring reliability and durability in the most extreme cold water dives.
Abyss Navy II First Stage
The Abyss Navy II First Stage is engineered for unmatched reliability, even in the most extreme diving conditions. Featuring a high flow rate and pre-oriented DFC outlets, it is specifically designed for optimal performance. Equipped with a cold water dive kit, this first stage is built to withstand the harshest environments. It has been rigorously tested and approved by the US Navy, having met their stringent requirements during intense dives—30 minutes at a depth of 60m, 62.5 l/min ventilation, -2°C water temperatures, and a constant cylinder pressure of 170 bar in both fresh and saltwater conditions.
Abyss Navy II Second Stage
The Abyss Navy II Second Stage is crafted with a special fluorinated polymer resin finish for enhanced durability. Its Vortex Assisted Design (VAD) system ensures dynamic airflow, providing natural and effortless breathing at any depth. The second stage cover incorporates a Mesh-Grid system, optimizing water flow to maintain peak performance, even in strong currents. Built for reliability and endurance, the Abyss Navy II Second Stage excels in extreme cold water conditions, making it the perfect companion for your most challenging dives.
FEATURES:
- Mesh Grid – Patented design which reduces the impact of water flow onto the second stage diaphragm, thus eliminating free flows even in strong currents.
- VAD – Vortex Assisted Design – The air bypass tube delivers air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.
- All Metal Technology – Outstanding mechanical reliability and high thermal conductivity make our metal 2nd stages extremely long lasting and ideal for cold water dives. The high thermal conductivity of metal reduces also the dry mouth feeling during the dive.
- DFC – Dynamic Flow Control – Minimizes intermediate pressure drop during inhalation thus maximizing gas delivery, especially under extreme conditions.
